Mental health coach Jo Symonds said the saturation of messaging around the coronavirus, called COVID-19, and uncertainty about its effects on day-to-day life could lead people to feel anxious and overwhelmed.
"It is not unusual to feel panic about abnormal situations such as the recent unprecedented bushfires and now COVID-19," she said.
"We encourage anyone who needs a little extra support to get back on track, to pick up the phone and call us."
Ms Symonds said there were simple ways to "maintain your mental health".
"It's important to stay connected with friends and family via email, social media, and telephone," she said.
"Even while practising physical distancing, you can still feel connected and supported."
