No matter whether it's been Mudgee, Coonamble, or Rosehill during the past month Hugh Bowman has given a grin and his trademark 'she's apples' sign after a win.

While that's almost always been the case through his racing career, the smiles have been that bit brighter lately.
The Dunedoo product has admitted he struggled to get back into the racing games once his association with champion mare Winx came to an end last year.
Bowman and Winx rocketed to stardom during an incredible winning streak which ran from May of 2015 to April of 2019.
After Larry Cassidy and James McDonald each rode Winx once during the first three wins of her stunning streak of 33 straight victories, Bowman then made headline after headline with the Chris Waller-trained star.

He was in the saddle for 30 successive wins and all 25 of Winx's 25 Group 1 victories before her retirement midway through last year.
"Obviously the journey I've had with Winx in the past four or five years took me to another level," Bowman said on the Big Sports Breakfast radio program on Monday.
"I really felt like I suffered something of a hangover after that.
"It wasn't just riding her and it wasn't just preparing for another big race. It was really a lifestyle change for some period of time and now that that's all finished and done I think it took me a little while to re-calibrate.
"I really feel like the last two or three months I've been going into the autumn carnival back to normal.
"I struggled a bit in the spring just for motivation but I'm not feeling it now. I'm feeling enthusiastic and my body is in great shape and I just feel like I'm back. And the results are showing."
Bowman has recently been back in the western region -where he was only born but also honed his skills as an apprentice in Bathurst - riding at both Mudgee and Coonamble's Country Championships meetings.
He rode a winner at each of those but on Saturday he achieved one of the highlights of his career when scoring a first Golden Slipper win.
Bowman combined with the Waterhouse and Bott-trained Farnan to take out the world's richest two-year-old race at Rosehill.
The victory took him to 91 Group 1 wins in Australia while he's collected a handful of others overseas and he said reaching the milestone of 100 victories at that level is a current goal.
