Due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, race meetings have been declared closed to the public and that has forced a number of picnic meetings to be abandoned.
The Trangie Gold Cup meeting scheduled for Saturday was one of those, with club president Andy McKinnon stating earlier in the week "without any patrons coming to our meeting and supporting us, there's no way we'd be able to cover the costs".
As well as Trangie, races have also been cancelled at Ardlethan, Tullibigeal, Hillston, Cootamundra, Tocumwal, Merriwa, and Grenfell.

Those trainers, owners, and jockeys affected will now have the chance to race at Forbes on Saturday, April 18.
Another meeting was also added at Wagga for those affected in the state's south.
The meeting at Forbes was announced by Racing NSW on Thursday and it will be headlined by a $5000 Picnic Trophy race over 1400m.
There will be five other races on the card.
Dubbo trainers Dar Lunn, Connie Greig and Allan Gibson were among those set to race at Trangie.
Racing NSW has also announced that minimum weights will be raised in the state from 53kg to 54kg from next Monday to assist jockeys in maintaining good health during the coronavirus situation.
