The Wellington Show was scheduled to be held on Saturday, May 16.
On March, 18, Prime Minister Scott Morrison banned inside gatherings of 100 people.
Outside, gatherings are allowed up to 500 people.
The NSW Agriculture Society Committee met to discuss the implications on shows of the Order under Section 7 of the Public Health Act 2010 to force immediate cancellation of public events with more than 500 people in response to COVID-19.

In a statement on the ASC website, president Tim Capp stressed the importance that all shows for the foreseeable future follow this directive.
"Our recommendation is that all agricultural shows and show related activities in NSW do not proceed," he said.
"As there is no definitive timeline on the spread of COVID-19 where it is logistically possible to delay cancellation of your event until closer to your show please do so."
Wellington Show Society secretary Jan Wightley said while they regret having to cancel the Show, they still intend to run the 2020 Showgirl competition.
"They can then progress to zone level and being the running for next year's Royal Easter Show Showgirl competition if they get through," she said.
