About 4.10am on Friday, three people, armed with crowbars and an axe, entered a licensed club on Bathurst Street in Yeoval, where they attempted to smash open an ATM.
The trio fled the location in a red/maroon hatchback car with a small amount of coins from a vending machine.
Detectives attached to Orana Mid-Western Police District attended and started an investigation.
As inquiries continue, any witnesses or any motorists who may have been in the area and have CCTV or dashcam vision, are urged to come forward.
