Ms Ross is one of the participants in the 2020 Stars of Dubbo Dance for Cancer, which will be held on Friday, May 1. She's been partnered with Spreagadh na Rince Irish dance school.
The annual dance raises money for the Cancer Council. Participants spend weeks fundraising and honing their dances before they perform at the Dubbo Regional Theatre and Convention Centre.
For Ms Ross, the main motivation to join was the fundraising, especially when it's for a cause like the Cancer Council.

"My dad suffered from prostate cancer and it went into his bones. He's now in recovery but he's still only been giving three or four years. He's on a trial which is going alright and at this stage everything is okay," she said.
She's also had family members who have been diagnosed with pancreatic and lung cancer.
It's something Ms Ross has been considering for a while, but it was only after a friend nominated her - after hearing Ms Ross say she'd always wanted to take part - that she took the plunge.
While the star spends an hour with the dance school every week, she also spends another three to four hours practicing her Irish jig at home.
"I knew nothing about Irish dancing at all but I might be a pro at it by the time it's finished," Ms Ross said.
"My husband thinks it's quite amusing watching me Irish dance around the backyard."
While $3000 is the fundraising goal for each participant, Ms Ross said she was expecting to bypass that figure.
Orana Mall Pharmacy, and the other businesses at the mall, have already been very supportive of the cause. Ms Ross said she was currently collecting donations from the businesses to raffle off.
Last time she held a similar raffle for the wig library almost $4000 was raised.
Ms Ross said the Dance for Cancer was a wonderful event to be involved in and she encouraged others not to wait for a nomination but to put their hands up themselves.
"For all the dance companies that take the time to train people without getting anything out of it themselves, kudos to them. I appreciate every hour I get," she said.
