One hundred square meters of turf were rolled out last week.
Centre assistant manager Chelsea Taylor said the kids were super excited to see the grass rolled out.
"The drought and the heatwave have killed off all our grass and the veggie garden," Ms Taylor said.
They waited until the worst of the summer heat was over before approaching Mr White at Dubbo Turf Supplies for a quote.

Mr White said his business had been quiet recently due to the drought. When he heard what the centre was after, he decided to help out.
Ms Taylor said for some of the children it was the first time they had seen grass at the centre in more than two years. Greywater was not enough to keep what they had alive.
When the turf was rolled out, Mr White said the students were thrilled and jumping all over it.
"It's always great when see people appreciate what you've done," he said.
The kids will have to wait another week before they're able to play on their grass.
Ms Taylor said she had already received a lot of positive comments from families about their little green patch.
The centre will continue to use greywater to keep the turf alive.
