Weatherzone is predicting up to 60 millimetres of rain could fall in Dubbo from Tuesday until Thursday before the rain clouds clear.
On Tuesday there is an 80 per cent chance of 5-10mm, while on Wednesday this increases to a 90 per cent chance of up to 5-10mm.
Thursday is predicted to be the wettest day, with a 90 per cent chance of 20-40mm of rain.
So far this month no rain has been recorded in Dubbo, but the median for March is 60mm.
Meanwhile, the entire Central West remains in drought, with 49.8 per cent of the region in intense drought.
