Engstrom, who spent much of the weekend's play trailing Belgium's Manon De Roey, wrestled the lead back on Sunday to claim her first tournament win and leave Dubbo as the 2020 NSW Women's Open Champion.
Shortly after leaving the green with her head held high, Engstrom still couldn't quite believe that she'd be leaving NSW with the silverware.
It's amazing, I don't think I fully understand it yet, it's been a great week and I'm just thrilled right now.

"It's amazing, I don't think I fully understand it yet, it's been a great week and I'm just thrilled right now," Engstrom said.

Engstrom planted her shot onto the green within a foot and a half of the final hole with a perfect use of her five-iron in order to claim the decisive birdie on the final hole.
De Roey, whose lead had slipped on the back half, headed to hole 18 tied with Engstrom, but sent the ball past the green and was unable to recover and give the Swede a fight.
"I'd bogeyed 18 every round and this time I just thought 'it can't go like that here' and I hit that great shot," Engstrom said.
"I didn't even know how close it was until I saw and heard the reaction of the crowd, but it was a nice feeling and a great finish to the week."
That crowd, which according to officials beat out the numbers present in previous events in Coffs Harbour and Quenbayan, erupted with applause as Engstrom sunk the final putt and was swarmed by friends and supporters.
The Swedish young gun, only in her second year of her pro career, finished up with a total of 274, settling 14 under par across the four rounds of play.
"I could feel that pressure building for sure, but I was trying not to focus too much on what Manon did and I wasn't sure what the others were at either," Engstrom said.
"I was just trying to be out there and play as good as I could and play as solid as I could, so I was very happy to finish off with the birdie."
Engstrom, who's come close in prior efforts at the championships, said she was relieved to finally sit atop the leaderboard.
"I've been close a few times now, I've been waiting for it, but you never know if it'll happen or not, but it's great to finally get that win and be atop the leaderboard for once," Engstrom said.
"It's always great to just go out there and play, but it's obviously very nice to have a win like that in your rear view, so I'm very happy to have got there."
De Roey finished up second, 12 under par at 276 after leading for the course's first nine holes on the final day, while another Swede, Camilla Lennarth came in third at 11 under par.
Engstrom thanked her caddy and her friends after securing the win, but saved a special thanks for the many volunteers in Dubbo.
