The grant, funded by the NSW Government Gig State project , is set to deliver a faster and more reliable networking service to the Dubbo electorate.
Member for the Dubbo electorate Dugald Saunders said the project will not only improve internet price, but quality of service and choice.
Mr Saunders said the start process will commence in "coming months."
The new infrastructure and increased internet capacity is the first step of many to come for the region- enabled by the $400 million Regional Digital Connectivity program, which was announced last year.
Mr Saunders said the movement will ensure the start of regional NSW overcoming some of the connectivity challenges that's been experienced.
The NSW Department of Planning, Industry and Environment will run a two-stage tender process, starting with an 'Expression of Interest' (EOI), followed by a 'Request for Tender' (RFT) later this year.
"The goal is to deliver innovative network infrastructure solutions for our regions, with improved price, quality of service and choice," Mr Saunders said.
"Technology is a central part of our everyday lives, so this represents an incredible opportunity and will help to boost growth and business opportunities for Dubbo and communities across the region."
The project will also benefit Parkes and Cobar.
Deputy Premier and Minister for Regional NSW John Barilaro said the Gig State project is an important first step in bridging the digital divide between metropolitan areas and regional NSW.

"This level of investment into digital network infrastructure is a new area for the NSW Government," Mr Barilaro said.
"But, it is essential to ensure our regional communities get the services they deserve so their potential in today's connected world isn't limited."
Interested telecommunications providers are encouraged to register their details online so they can be notified when the EOI opens for submissions at: www.nsw.gov.au/gigstate
