I'm just going to talk about a couple of good things for our newsletter this week - because who doesn't want to read some good news on a Sunday morning?
RAIN! It looks like it's back on the horizon this week with a chance on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday this week. We can only hope it's the start of the follow up rain that is so desperately needed by our region.
Another good thing this week - Kindy Kids! Our featured edition showcasing the 2020 Kindergarten Kids went on sale on Wednesday. We've still got some copies left at the office if you didn't get a chance to get to a newsagent on Wednesday. We know how popular it is each year, so we ordered a few extra this year. Or, you can have a flick through the online gallery here.
We've had some positive news from our local member in terms of the drug court too. MP Dugald Saunders has joined the push for a drug court saying he is "happy to pick up the baton on behalf of the electorate".
The Orana Law Society has been advocating for a drug court for the better part of a decade, with it being the society's top priority in 2019. Mr Saunders had been waiting for a second report into the issue before committing.
And finally, a big congratulations to the Dubbo woman who is planning a fabulous trip away after winning $100,000 in the Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot draw. Enjoy your trip!
That's it from me this week. Scroll down to see if you have missed any of this week's big stories, and as always, if you want to get in touch please email me at lynn.rayner@dailyliberal.com.au.
Have a great Sunday.
