The report into the Special Commission of Inquiry into the Drug Ice was released on Thursday. It included a recommendation that the NSW government expand the Drug Court of NSW to "priority regional areas".
Mr Saunders said the report also stated the drug court had been consistently found to reduce significant risk of recidivism among drug-related offenders.
"Given that recommendation and the comments associated with it, and the fact I have always said I would advocate based on the outcome of the report, I have spoken with the Treasurer and asked him to include whatever funding is required in the budget," he said.

Drug courts are designed to deal with non-violent offenders who are dependant on drugs. The court aims to get the offender clean and a productive member of society, rather than sending them to prison.
The Orana Law Society has been advocating for a drug court for the better part of the last decade. It was the society's top priority for Dubbo in 2020.
Mr Saunders said the overall cost of the proposed project was unknown at this stage. He's hoping to get the expansion to Dubbo included in the 20/21 NSW budget.
"It's no secret that there are significant drug issues in our communities, and if the results achieved in other locations can be achieved in our region then that can only be a good thing," the Dubbo MP said.
It is still unknown if Dubbo could be on the cards for a drug and alcohol rehabilitation facility.
"Drug rehabilitation and detoxification would be part of an overall solution, which will also be looked at as each of the recommendations is considered in detail," Mr Saunders said.
