The Rotary Club of Dubbo South will present the Road Safety Youth Driver Awareness (RYDA) program across three days for young drivers aged 16 to 18 years who have or are about to become learner drivers.
This is Rotary Club of Dubbo South's 17th time running the RYDA program.
The program will cover a series of practical and powerful workshops that will challenge students to change the way they think about road safety.
It focuses on cognition development, building an increasing social competency and resilience and motivating low risk behavior.
At least 14 schools and more than 500 students from around the district will be presented with a strong lineup of professional presenters overseeing the workshops.

Some of those schools include Dubbo College Senior Campus, St John's College, Dubbo Christian School and MAGS Dubbo.
Six workshops will be held each day, driven by presenters such as Dubbo Police, a major accident victim and driving instructors.
One of the workshops will be on the roadway where a driving instructor will demonstrate breaking procedures and stopping distances under brakes.
The facilitators will work with students to develop and practice personalised strategies and life skills, which will help them, respond positively to challenges on the road, both as drivers and highly influential passengers.
The workshops will run at the Dubbo Showground.
