NAIDOC Week will run from July 5 - 12 focusing on the theme Always Was, Always Will Be, to reflect on the importance of the land and culture that is part of Australia's Indigenous culture.
Eligible not-for-profit organisations in NSW can apply for grants of $500 to $1,000 to recognise their local Aboriginal community achievements, cultures, languages and identity. For more significant standalone events, which may involve a number of partners, grants of up to $3,000 are available.
This year the NSW Government will trial online funding agreements for successful applicants to reduce the administrative burden on communities.
Grant applications close on Friday, April 24, and can be made via www.aboriginalaffairs.nsw.gov.au/grants or call 1800 019 998.
