More than 120 of the subsidised examinations, which were conducted by the icare Lung Screening Service, were Dubbo Regional Council staff.

Icare group executive - care Nick Allsop said it was important for people working with hazardous airborne substances to undergo constant lung health screening.
"Preventing harmful exposure is the first and most important priority," Dr Allsop said.
"Increased awareness of the risks associated with crystalline silica will hopefully lead to more precautions being taken by those working with silica-containing products."
