The Dubbo Violence Prevention Collective (DVPC) will hold a free ladies only movie night on March 6, at the Shoyoen Gardens from 6.30 pm.
The movie night will run in celebration of International Women's Day, March 8.
International Women's Day is a focal point in the movement for women's rights.
The movie being shown is newly released movie, Hidden Figures.
Hidden Figures is a women empowerment movie which tells the story of three African-American women at NASA who serve as the brains behind one of the greatest operations in history: the launch of astronaut John Glenn (Glen Powell).
DVPC chairperson Angela Coker encourages women to come along to the event.
