Rugby Cricket Club have set the stage for an all important clash with South Dubbo in the Pinnington Cup next week by maintaining their top spot with a win over Newtown on Saturday.

Batting first, Newtown put up a total of 138, boosted by a middle of the order contribution from Greg Kerr (42).
An early partnership between Adam Davis (28) and Cameron Collins (20), put Newtown on the right track, but the bowling of Zac Murphy (5/27) caused a late collapse for Newtown that Rugby were all too ready to capitalise on.

Nick Karydis (47) and Glenn Shepherd (51) both lifted early for the blue and white, providing a smooth path to their eventual total of 139/6.
South Dubbo stayed within striking distance of the ladder-leaders, electing to bat first and putting up a total that the RSL Colts struggled to close on.
While high-scoring club veteran Jon Colwell was run out for 23, George Dickson (53) boosted his side to the win with his half-century scoring effort, hitting two sixes and three fours in his time at the crease.
Rajat Rai (21) and Craig Duff (18) put the last significant touches on the win.
RSL Colts' chase started strong thanks to Matthew Keenan (39), but failed to fire in the middle order as Rai (2/9), Colwell (3/11) and Duff (2/30) all proved themselves handy with the ball, keeping the remainder of the batting line-up constrained to single digit scores aside from Sam Campbell (17).
CYMS and Macquarie were awarded a share of the points after Lady Cutler Field 1 was found to be too waterlogged to play on.
In the Kelly Cup, the sides finally returned to action after two weeks of cancellations due to inclement weather, although CYMS Green will have to wait an extra week due to receiving the bye.
Souths Lemons claimed a resounding win over Rugby, with bowler Sanu Joy (5/13) visiting havoc upon the Rugby batting lineup and keeping them constrained to just 55 runs across 27 overs.
It was a total that was all too easy for the Lemons, with John Byrne (28) and Chris Lenord (19) putting them one run behind by the fall of the first Souths wicket, before Tristan Ward came in and scored the final two runs needed.
Newtown Gold secured victory over South Limes, with Dan Battishall (49) helping ensure the victory with a strong, tail-end performance that put Gold on 185/9.
Limes lagged behind despite the efforts of Michael Fraser (37) and Fred Walford (30) falling short by 57 runs.
Newtown Black didn't have the same run of luck, putting up 108 with an uneven first innings, hampered by CYMS White's Gavin Weekes (4/15) before Weekes sealed the deal by providing the final runs in the CYMS side's run chase, reaching 113 with two overs to spare.
RSL Colts United fell in similar conditions to the Newtown Black, finishing their innings on 115, before being chased down by a fast firing Demons outfit who reached 118/2 thanks to a half-century and then some from Ben Bunt (69).
Macquarie rounded out the successful teams in the return of the Kelly Cup finishing on 145/6, after the RSL Colts Coolbaggie posted up a respectable 142, with Coolbaggie's Glenn Shields (35) and Macquarie's Thomas Durrant (64) having the best of the batting.
