She won't get first choice at the prime cut of meat at dinnertime, she won't have first dibs on anything special because she won.
However, the 16-year-old will have the best thing she could ask for: bragging rights.
"They'll know that I've won," she said smiling.
Dean won the women's let in one hour, nine minutes and 30 seconds, two minutes ahead of Jessie and three and a half minutes ahead Estelle in a duathlon which was forced to cancel its swimming leg due to algae in the dam.

Despite the trash talk, Dean said it was great to be able to race alongside family, with younger sister Molly finishing second in the Super Sprint and dad Matt running 13th for the men.
"It's good, we do a lot of training together so it's good to get up there ... it's nice doing it with family," she said after the win.
"It was really good today, really hot today, it was a bit windy but it's always pretty windy out here."
The eldest Dean sibling was sitting in first after the first of two running legs, but Abby overtook Jessie in the final run to claim the two-minute win.
The race was the first on the new surface at Gosling Creek, which Dean said was a massive boost.
"Jessie was in front on the first run but we came together on the bike but I've been getting her on the last run recently," she said.
"It was really good, it's great out on the new track. It does quicken, if you pick your line you can get around earlier."
She said losing the swimming leg was another thing which played into her favour.
"It's good for me, swimming's not my strongest. It's nice to have a swim in the water and cool off but we can't do much about that," she said.
Orange's family ties continued in the Super Sprint as Sophie and Janet Martin were first and third in the women's Super Sprint, with Sophie crossing the line in 0:44:05, seven seconds ahead of second-placed Molly Dean.
