Bathurst scored a four wicket win in Sunday's Western Zone Premier League contest against defending champions Dubbo, with Henry Shoemark starring in the chase with his unbeaten knock of 67.
After winning the toss and choosing to bat Dubbo looked destined to fall flat on their face in the decider as they were reduced to 8/93 at one point at Scots Main Oval.
But a big ninth-wicket fightback from Steve Skinner (46) and Ben Knaggs (20) saw the vistors rally and post a total of 156.
Bathurst's number four batsman Shoemark was disciplined in his chase of the target, dispatching anything off the mark and defending deliveries on target.
He survived several close calls against an imposing Dubbo bowling attack, as did teammate Dave Sellers (21 not out) late on, but the pair brought it home.
"It's the pinnacle in this region for what we do," Bathurst captain Adam Ryan said.
"Every ball was a battle and you had to be switched on. That's what we love about playing at this level.
"It lived up to the hype today. It was great to see on overall team performance today. I know 'H' was great with the bat but our bowlers were sensational to restrict them to that score and our fielders worked their guts off."
Dubbo didn't set themselves up for a fun afternoon in the field thanks to their middle order implosion.
The Dubbo opening three of Charlie Kempston (19), Jacob Hill (20) and Tom Coady (25) fell short of the runs they would have desired but their efforts looked peachy when compared to those below them.
Bathurst took the big wicket of Brock Larance for just 3 and they had Tom Nelson (0), Angus Norton (1) and skipper Mat Skinner (1) all out cheaply.

Skinner and Knaggs salvaged the horror Dubbo innings by putting on 63 runs for the ninth wicket to briefly take the wind out of the hosts' sails.
Dave Henderson's top figures of 4-15 came less than 24 hours after his 5-24 effort at club level with City Colts.
Bathurst's opening trio of Imran Qureshi (13), Jaden Ekert (12) and Ryan (14) never got going, and it instilled plenty of hope in the Dubbo ranks.
Shoemark quickly got settled at the crease and battled on when Jameel Qureshi was caught behind off the bowling of Knaggs - who would finish with leading Dubbo figures of 3-34.
The dismissals of Connor Slattery (7) and Wayne Sellers (13) off the bowling of Larance got the visitors fired up, and an exciting finish was on the cards when Shoemark and Sellers both came close to chopping onto their own stumps.
However, the pair prevailed with eight overs remaining to bring the WZPL trophy back to Bathurst after its one-season stint away from the city.
"H [Shoemark] batted well and everything went with him," defeated Dubbo skipper Mat Skinner said.
"He whacked the bad balls and the good balls he either defended or it got the edge and it ran away but that's how it goes. On another day that sort of thing falls our way.
"Steve Skinner and Benny Knaggs were excellent towards the end there to help us get up to a competitive total. Benny was great with the ball as well."
The result means Bathurst has now claimed two of the past four titles, while Dubbo has won, and the other was shared between the two rivals following a tense tie in 2017/18.
