Young swimmers between the ages of 6 to 16 years took part in the 98th annual event.
More than 150 children from Wellington, Coolah, Dubbo, Trangie, Narromine, Dunedoo, Bourke and Coonamble competed in all strokes, in various races including 50 metres, long distance races and individual medley.
Coonamble swimmer Maddie Marks broke various records, some that had been standing since the 1980s.
"Most of the records that Maddie Marks broke were held by Ronny May," President of the Wellington Amateur Swimming Club Donna Cosier explained.
She gave a special mention to local swimmers from the Wellington Amateur Swim Club who placed, including Zachary and Isaiah Hill, Karl Tasker and Olivia Carney.
The club president said the annual event is an important carnival for children looking to qualify for other meets.
She said the feedback from the other towns was positive, adding that they enjoyed having the event at the new $8.35 million Wellington Aquatic Leisure Centre, which includes a new eight lane heated pool with disabled access.
"Thanks to all of the helpers and kids who made it such a successful carnival," Ms Cosier added.
Marshallers for the day were Jenny Bourke and Carmen Gain.
Dubbo MP Dugald Saunders was a special guest announcer.
