River levels fell below minor on the Castlereagh River at Mendooran about midnight Tuesday night, after heavy rainfall was recorded across the catchment, the NSW SES reports.

The Castlereagh River at Mendooran peaked at 3.58 metres about 11pm Tuesday, and fell below minor (3.3 metres) at midnight Tuesday night, the latest update at 9.15am Wednesday advised.
Tuesday afternoon's rain had earlier led to a forecast of minor flooding, with the Bureau of Meteorology predicting the Castlereagh River at Mendooran was likely to reach about 4 metres early Wednesday morning with minor flooding.
The Castlereagh River at Mendooran was at 1.97 metres and falling, the SES advised in the 9.15am update.
Based on the prediction provided by the Bureau of Meteorology, river rises downstream are likely to occur as flood waters move downstream, however river levels are expected to remain below minor.

NSW SES urges motorists to take extreme care as there may be water flowing across causeways and local roads.
People are advised not to walk or drive through floodwaters as it may be deeper and faster flowing than expected and is a major cause of flood-related deaths.
People working or camping along the Castlereagh River should continue to monitor river heights and be prepared to relocate to higher ground.
Farmers and landholders are advised to relocate livestock, pumps and machinery to higher ground.
