The exhibition is being hosted at Charles Sturt University and officially opened on Sunday.
Artwork included portraiture and still life images by community talent of all ages.
For one artist, Abigail Pearse, the artwork encaptured a moment in which she will cherish forever.
Miss Pearse's artwork was a portrait of her father, Neil Pearse, called "Happy Place."
The artwork encaptured a moment in which Mr Pearse's facial expressions radiated deep and authentic happiness.
"He sent us this photo when he was at a concert," Miss Pearse said.
"I wanted to paint it because he just looked so happy."
Mr Pearse said although he was slightly embarrassed he was "amazed".

"I'm amazed by her ability," Mr Pearse said.
"We had travelled all the way to Birdsville to see my favourite band, and that's me looking up at them. It was awesome, so now we say that's me in my happy place."
Miss Pearce said art to her is a way of expression and she enjoys that it enables people to feel a certain way by looking at it.
"You can express anything at all through art and put it onto a canvas for everyone else to embrace," she said.
Mrs Palmer said the opening of the exhibition is very exciting for the club and since starting the club last year, they have received incredible engagement.
"I love living in Dubbo, it's an awesome city and it has awesome people in it, so we're very excited to be able to put on this exhibition," Mrs Palmer said.
"It's really exciting and I'm just stoked."
