Settree's Dark Terror will line up from behind barrier four in the Orange City Council Pace Heat 4 (1730 metres) at 1.50pm, before Kanena Provlima has his run two races later in the McRae Ag Solutions Pace Heat 1 (1730 metres) at 2.59pm.

Dark Terror, who has just the eight starts to his name, featured in the Canola Cup Final in Eugowra back in October, but this Sunday marks just his third start since the Group 3 race, having had two starts in the past fortnight - one in Goulburn and one in Menangle.

Settree said the four-year-old bay gelding was unlucky in his last start at the Sydney track.

"He's been going really well but it was a bit unlucky in his last start at Menangle," he said.

"He ended up finding his way to the back, but I expect him to go forward [on Sunday], find the front and run a bold race.

"I had him trained down in Sydney for a while, having a couple of starts down there, but I've owned him the whole time throughout his career."

Glenn McElhinney has been tasked with the job of driving Dark Terror in the race.

Kanena Provlima also featured in the Canola Cup Final and, just like Dark Terror, has just had the two starts since then.

The four-year-old bay gelding has been quite successful in his past two starts, picking up at win on January 6 and a third at January 17, both run at the Bathurst Harness Racing Club.

"He's a big strong horse and if he can find the front, he'll give them something," Settree said.

"In the Canola Cup, he sat just behind the leader but he fell just behind [finishing fourth] after running such a good race in the final.

"He's a nice and upcoming horse but he's quite green and he's got a lot to learn."

Anthony Frisby will drive Kanena Provlima from behind the number two barrier.

The meeting was moved from Orange to Bathurst because of the poor track conditions at Towac Park.

The first of the 10 race meeting gets underway at 11.49am, with the final race - the Watson Corporate Services Pace (1730 metres) starting at 4.54pm.
