Many are aiming for a third title in the space of a year after last season's RSL-Whitney Cup title triumph as well.
Not Mitch Lincoln though.
He's aiming to win a grand final of any type for the first time.
Lincoln wasn't part of the Tigers side which won last season's Twenty20 crown but has cemented a spot in the club's short-form team this campaign.
"It's very exciting. It's the first one I've been in for awhile and hopefully I can get my first grand final win," he said.
Lincoln played in a string of grand finals in the juniors but was never able to break through and hadn't featured in a decider with any of the Tigers' senior sides since making his way up the grades.
The left-arm seamer has floated in and out of the club's RSL-Whitney Cup side this season but has become a regular in the short form, much to his delight.
"I enjoy it a lot and it's probably my favourite format," he said.

What followed was the side's best performance of the season, a 10-wicket semi-final demolition of CYMS to secure passage through to a second straight grand final.
"We fought back really hard. Here we are playing in the grand final so we've done well to pull it back and hopefully we can get that win," Lincoln said, before speaking about his side's strengths.
"It's pretty helpful having the two Skinners in the side. They've got a lot of experience and I would say Mat would be close to the best night cricket player in Dubbo."
He highlighted Mat Skinner, his side's captain, as Newtown's key given the impact he can make with the bat and ball.

In terms of Macquarie, Lincoln unsurprisingly tipped veteran run machine Jason Green as his side's main danger.
"He's been around for a long time and scored a lot of runs and we need to get him early," the teenager added.
Play starts at 6.30pm on Friday night at No. 1 Oval.
