Young rappers and joke tellers were rolling around in stitches earlier this week when popular children's author and entertainer, Andy Jones, held his Rap 'N' Roll Show at the Dubbo Library.

Mr Jones is no stranger to Dubbo, having held shows at the Macquarie Regional Library in the past.
He said he loves coming out to the country, adding that the last time he visited town he went to Taronga Western Plains Zoo and was blown away.
"I love coming out to the country. The people here are so nice and the kids in the country are still kids. In the city, the kids are all eight going on 35," Mr Jones said.

Mr Jones said his passion for being an author and entertainer stemmed from his childhood
"I grew up in housing commission in La Perouse with a single parent, both of my parents were great, but as circumstance would have it... I use to spend a lot of time alone, and when I was around other kids I was always the loudest," he said.
"I use to say to the other kids, when I'm older I'm going to get out of this housing commission and play music.
"Then I went to teachers college, I done nursing for the first few years and then early childhood teaching and then from that I was just playing the drums in bands. Eventually, I decided to do a teaching course and then I started writing songs, got signed on for a festival and everything kid of just went on from there."
Mr Jones said he has a number of projects coming out soon including a new book, song and a signing withing ABC.
He also has several videos on his youtube channel, Andy Jones, including a 'flossing' dance video.
