The 2834 hectare fire is burning in the Goonoo State Forest and is currently listed as 'being controlled.
It is known as the Mirrie Road, Boomley fire on the NSW Rural Fire Service (RFS) Fires Near Me website.

The fire is burning north of Elong Elong and west of Dunedoo and fire activity is easing across the fireground.
On Thursday morning the large blaze was threatening around 15 properties, with firefighters working to protect these assets.
