A Dubbo man has been fined after a security guard caught him lurking around the grounds of Dubbo North Public School in the dark of night.

Andrew Neil Dillon was spotted at the school at 2am on Wednesday with laundry bags in his possession, court documents revealed.
Police said Dillon, 35, provided "no reasonable excuse for being in the school grounds" and admitted he shouldn't have been at the school.
Dillon had a habit of loitering "around the wrong places in the early hours of the morning in a town holding the highest statistics for property related crime", police said in court documents.'

"Checks on the policing system show the North Dubbo Public School has been broken into on nine occasions and maliciously damaged on seven occasions in the last three years," police said.
Dillon pleaded guilty to unlawfully entering the school when he appeared in Dubbo Local Court on Wednesday.
Magistrate Gary Wilson convicted Dillon and fined him $150.
