Former Dubbo Kangaroos junior Tom Robertson has been named in the NSW Waratahs starting lineup that will take on the Highlanders at Leichardt Oval on Friday evening. The fixture will be the Waratahs first return to the playing field this year and will serve as both their first pre-season trial, as well as the Sir Hendry Braddon cup match that became tradition in 2014. Dubbo born Ned Hanigan has been ruled out of the clash, with Robertson, halfback Jake Gordon and captain Karmichael Hunt the only Wallabies in the current lineup. Hanigan, Gordon and Robertson were all present for the NSW Country Eagles clash with the Sydney Rays in Dubbo late last year, where Robertson ran water for the winning side while he recovered from a recent round of ankle surgery.
