A Parkes man who was charged early last year after an investigation into the fraudulent sale and delivery of more than $86,000 worth of livestock feed appeared before Parkes Local Court on Friday.

Magistrate Philip Stewart found Stephen John Swindle (30) guilty of ten counts of dishonestly obtain financial advantage by deception.
In January 2019 the Rural Crime Prevention Team commenced an investigation into the reports of fraud offences relating to the sale and delivery of hay and grain to various farmers in the Parkes, Dubbo, Wellington, Yass Valley, and Moulemein areas.

Police alleged that Swindle, operating a registered transport business, failed to deliver hay and grain and/or defrauded sub-contractors in the delivery of hay and grain which had been purchased by farmers.
He will be sentenced in Dubbo Local Court on February 3.
