Rain is predicted daily until Tuesday, January 21, with the biggest fall of up to 15 millimetres (mm) expected on Thursday this week.
There is a "chance" of thunderstorms each day.
The Bureau of Meteorology's (BoM) seven-day forecast as of Wednesday advises of a 90 per cent chance of the city getting between 6mm and 15mm of rain on Thursday.

On Friday, there is an 80 per cent chance of 4mm to 10mm of rain falling.
The BoM reports of a 40 per cent chance of the city getting up to 3mm of rain on Saturday and a 40 per cent chance of up to 6mm on Sunday.
There's a 50 per cent chance of up to 10mm of rain falling on Monday and a 20 per cent chance of rain on Tuesday.
Maximum temperatures are forecast to be below the long-term January average of 33.5 degrees Celsius from Thursday to Tuesday.
They will range from 29 to 32 degrees.
The average minimum temperature in Dubbo in January is 18.4 degrees.
From Thursday to Tuesday the city's overnight temperature will range from 21 to 17 degrees.
