A Strike Force has been established to investigate the circumstances surrounding the discovery of a 39-year-old woman's body in Lightning Ridge. The woman's body was found near Black Prince Drive about 8am last Thursday. While she was not a Lightning Ridge resident, the spokesperson said the woman came "from the region" and had been formally identified. Specialist forensic officers and police have been in Lightning Ridge investigating the crime scene. A Lightning Ridge resident who wished to remain anonymous said the shock discovery had left many community members feeling "disturbed and dismayed".
