As we begin to wind down from the peak of the Christmas and New Year's holidays the Western Plains Cultural Centre (WPCC) Dubbo has prepared a two-week holiday workshop itinerary for you to end the festive period on a creative high.

Each holiday period the WPCC offer a free dynamic program of art and craft workshops for children aged between five to 14-years-of-age.
No bookings are required to attend and the workshops, starting on Monday, January 13, and ending on Thursday, January 23. A variety of different artists will run the workshops.
Monday, January 13 10:00 to 12:00 (5 - 8-year-olds) or 1:00 to 3:00 (9 years plus)
Pauline Griffiths will hold an acrylic and watercolour painting and collage workshop. The afternoon session will cover the beautiful possibilities of working with watercolour.
Tuesday, January 14 10:00 to 12:00 (5 - 9-year-olds) or 1:00 to 3:00 (10 years plus)
Michelle McKay will host her Mixed Media Animal Collage workshop. You will be able to take inspiration from the WPCC current exhibitions and use it to create your own collage work.

Wednesday, January 15 10:00 to 12:00 (5-9-year-olds) or 1:00 to 3:00 (10 years plus)
April Hopson will run the workshop, Matisse in the Making - a focus on shape, form and colour.
Thursday, January 16 10:00 to 12:00 (5-9-year-olds) or 1:00 to 3:00 (10 years plus)
Create scratchboard art with Joss McKay by working away the surface of the board, revealing your unique drawings that will magically appear in multicolour.
Friday, January 17 10:00 to 12:00 (5 - 9-year-olds) or 1:00 to 3:00 (10 years plus)
Michelle McKay will run her Hessian Bears and Mosaic workshop. Come along in the morning and make your own hessian bear and carry bag.
Monday, January 20 10:00 to 12:00 (5 - 9-year-olds) or 1:00 to 3:00 (10 years plus)
Bega artist Merryn Sommerville will be hosting her Oil Pastels for Drawing and Illustrating workshop.
Tuesday, January 21 10:00 to 12:00 (5 - 8-year-olds) or 1:00 to 3:00 (9 years plus)
Pauline Griffiths will run a printmaking workshop using scratch foam and linocuts.
Wednesday, January 22 10:00 to 12:00 (5-9-year-olds) or 1:00 to 3:00 (10 years plus)
Alicia O'Connor's workshop, Be Yourself, based on the current exhibition, Let Me Be Myself, allows you to create an artwork that represents who you are using modelling clays.
Thursday, January 23 10:00 to 12:00 (5-9-year-olds) or 1:00 to 3:00 (10 years plus)
April Hopson will be running a workshop where you will be able to create a unique animal character.
