"I am going to f**k you up," Stefan Michael Asmus, 30, said to the woman after the pair had a verbal argument.
According to a police facts document, Asmus also followed the woman into a bedroom and threw a two-litre bottle of coke over the bed.
After the coke was splattered over the sheets, Asmus pushed the woman into a wall.
"I just want to get this over and done as quickly as possible so I can get out of here," Asmus told police who responded to the incident.
In Dubbo Local Court on Wednesday Asmus pleaded guilty to an assault and intimidation charge.
"I'm deeply remorseful for my actions...It was very out of character for me," he said.
Magistrate Gary Wilson noted Asmus had sought assistance in relation to his offending and had no criminal record.
Asmus was found guilty but no conviction was recorded and he was given a conditional release order to be of good behaviour for 12 months.
