In the week ending December 29 they used 277L per person per day compared with 360L in the week ending December 22.
Geurie and Dubbo residents have also reduced their consumption of water across the two weeks, but are not meeting the target.

Data posted on Dubbo Regional Council's online drought hub, www.dubbo.nsw.gov.au/droughthub, shows Geurie is getting closer to it.
In the week ending December 29 residents used 306L per person per day compared with 316L in the week ending December 22.
The village's residents have only exceeded the target three of the eight weeks the council has been posting water usage data.
Wellington has been under the target twice and Dubbo once.
Dubbo residents reduced their use of water by 27L per person per day in the week of Christmas.
In the week ending December 29 they consumed 347L per person per day, 67L above the level four water restrictions target of 280L.
The previous week, ending December 22 and including a day when the top temperature reached 44.9 degrees Celsius, residents used 374L per person per day.
The data aims to keep residents informed about their water use and allow them to "take steps to curb it if necessary".
They are advised to read their water meters regularly with directions available on the drought hub.
