Dubbo jockey Ken Dunbar helped boost the Graham Watts trained Tally Ho to a resounding victory on Saturday, taking a thumping lead in the Gilgandra Benchmark 50 handicap 1100m race.

The Coonabarabran trained mare jumped from the middle of the pack and took an early lead from the seventh barrier, storming along the track and using the space to take a shift to the inside at the race's last turn, bolting down home along the straight and denying second place finisher Michael Denison's Decades and third place finisher Bryan Dixon's Uno Ruby even the semblance of a competitive finish.
Tally Ho and Dunbar finished a full 5.78 lengths ahead of Denison's Decades, no easy feat even for the highly touted favourite.
Dunbar also helped secure a second place finish for Rodney Robb with Bee Double Bee.
The Dubbo based jockey will next race will next race on home turf on Monday, December 30.
