Despite concerns about the bush fire crisis NSW is currently facing, Dubbo's annual New Year's Eve fireworks display is still going ahead according to Dubbo Show Society secretary Sue Hood.

"As long as it's not a full fire ban on the day, the fireworks will go ahead," Ms Hood said.
"We won't know until New Year's Eve morning, and the RFS will advise us.
"The showground in Dubbo isn't close to anything and safety measures are being taken."
Ms Hood said if, on the day, they do have to cancel the fireworks there will be announcements made to the local radio station that morning, and it will also be announced on social media.
The fireworks display is on Tuesday, December 31, from 4.30 pm at the Dubbo Showground.
