Police busted Danielle Brown, 34, in January this year after they received a tip-off from staff at the Berrima Correctional Centre.
According to court documents, police were told a parcel with illicit drugs inside it would be delivered to a Dubbo home. Police used a tracking number to trace the parcel to Brown's Galloway Drive home.
When police searched the house they found 10 buprenorphine strips in the kitchen and another five in vase in the bedroom, along with $910 cash.
Brown initially told police a friend left the strips at her house but pleaded guilty to a drug possession charge in Dubbo Local Court last week.
Magistrate Gary Wilson recorded a conviction and fined Brown $300.
