One of the last race days for the Central West in 2019 is taking shape, with Wellington's boxing day races announcing nominations ahead of the Thursday event.

The five race slate has drawn nominations from a number of horses and trainers that had been likely to race in Dubbo at the Christmas Twilights Race Meeting that was recently cancelled due to health concerns.

Narromine trainer Justin Stanley's You Know Zon will look for a second win in a row in the Class 1 Handicap (1100m) after winning at home in his last start.
Kody Nestor's recently acquired mare Miss Academy has also been put forward to contest that distance, after struggling with up and down form since coming to the Dubbo trainer's stable in October.
Nyngan's Rodney Robb will be bringing another recent winner to that contest, with Ready Set Go put forward from his stable after the gelding secured a maiden win last week in Warren across the slightly shorter 1000m distance.
Garry Lunn has put forward two of his horses that are yet to earn a win in the 1700m Maiden Plate, with the inexperienced Howard and improving Just On Spec both nominated for the final race of the day.
Just On Spec has struggled to find form in it's recent racing history, but has only had one start since joining Lunn's stable and narrowly missed out on a second place finish to Clint Lundholm's Sticks 'N' Stones.
