Bureau of Meteorology online data reveals the the hottest day in December in the city since 1993 belongs to Christmas Eve 2017 when 42.1 degrees was recorded at Dubbo City Regional Airport.
The Bureau of Meteorology has also revised its forecast top temperature for Saturday in Dubbo from 45 to 46 degrees.

The heat is set to abate slightly in the lead-up to Christmas Day.
Sunday's top temperature is expected to reach 41 degrees, Monday 39 degrees, Tuesday 38 degrees, Christmas Day 34 degrees and Boxing Day 35 degrees.
The 26-year record for the highest minimum temperature in Dubbo belongs to December 22, 1994, when 28.1 degrees was recorded at the airport.
Minimum temperatures until Boxing Day will not exceed 23 degrees, forecast for Sunday.
On Friday, Dubbo had received 2.6mm of rain so far this month.
Average rainfall for December is 61.3mm.
The bureau is forecasting a 10 per cent chance of rain on December 23, 24 and 25.
