The defending champions were defeated by Macquarie last round and be looking to bounce back at No. 2 Oval.
However, leading batsman Potter believes every game from now is important for the Tigers.
"I think all the games are must-win now considering how close the competition is," he said.
"The top two teams are pulling away together and the bottom four are all fighting for third right now."
Potter represented the Sydney Thunder Indigenous side in late November of this year but said he is frustrated by his batting performances so far.
"I've been a little bit inconsistent, it's been more frustrating than anything," he said.
"I'm getting starts but just can't go on a get the big score that the team needs and what is expected of me in the side."
The Newtown top-order will be looking again to fire on Saturday after passing 200 only twice this year which is surprisingly the same as last season but the side was sitting atop of the RSL-Whitney Cup ladder at that time.
Potter believes consistency isn't far away.

"We (the top-order) have got us off to a good start most games but the middle and lower order haven't really gone on with but even though we lost last game the positive thing is that the middle and lower order boys stood up and hopefully that can continue," he said.
Mitch Russo made a half century from number six last time out but was one of only three people to make double figures in the loss to Macquarie.
Looking at this weekend, Potter said Rugby captain Jacob Hill is the key to his side's victory.
"He's (Hill) is the form player of the comp, being a Western Zone representative and is just scoring runs for fun." he said
Newtown skipper Mat Skinner has also impressed since returning from representing Western Zone alongside Hill and will be hoping to lead from the front along with his brother, Steve, and Potter.
Rugby will also be looking to bounce back from a loss after being defeated by RSL-Colts last weekend.
Sitting last on the ladder but just two points away from fifth, a victory this weekend could kick-start a push for third place.
Rugby has had an up-and-down season so far but will be hoping for more contributions outside of skipper Hill, who is one of the competition's top run-scorers to date. Youngster Ben Wheeler, veteran Nathan Munro and recent Dubbo representative Roland O'Connor will all be looking to contribute.
Peter Karydis has also been recalled to the first-grade side after scoring 50 last week in the RSL Pinnington Cup second grade competition.
Elsewhere this weekend, RSL-Colts will be hoping to put pressure on the competition's top two when they face Souths.
Colts will take confidence out of their win against Rugby last round and will be hoping opener Charlie Kempston can repeat his effort from last weekend's Western Premier League game, where he banged 66 in quick time.
Souths currently sit in fifth place and will hoping a win can close the gap between themselves and Newtown.
The Hornets will be hoping Angus Norton continues his form after passing 50 last weekend.
The other RSL Whitney Cup match is a top-of-the-table affair between CYMS and Macquarie.
Both sides have aggressive top orders and strike bowlers in what is shaping up to be one of the matches of the season so far.
CYMS will be boosted by the return of Brock Larance and Ben O'Donnell who both have played large roles in the Cougars' season so far.
Play starts 1pm.
