Its offering free respite for 28 days over summer at St Mary's Villa and Holy Spirit residential aged care homes.
On Monday a Catholic Healthcare spokeswoman announced its gift to the community.

"To support the Dubbo community, Catholic Healthcare is offering up to 28 days of complimentary short-term respite at St Mary's Villa and Holy Spirit residential aged care homes," she said.
"For carers, respite accommodation means having time for rest and rejuvenation.
"For their loved ones, it means being supported by 24/7 nursing staff, nutritious daily meals and comfortable air conditioned rooms.

"Whether it's planned, or an emergency, Catholic Healthcare's free summer respite can provide peace of mind this summer."
The spokeswoman said anyone entering respite care at the homes would discover their "sense of community and connections".
She points to St Mary's Villa residents, Eleanor and Vona, who are best friends.
"I've been here for 12 months and have made really good friends," said Eleanor with Vona by her side.

"I've become a different person from the time I came in because I know there are people here to look after me."
