The Golden Bean Awards is the largest coffee competition in the world. Australian coffees in 11 different categories are tasted blind by the judges before the medals are awarded.
The Coffee Bean Roasting House, which is located in Dubbo and Tamworth, was awarded a silver and seven bronze medals.

Derek Sykes said the silver was for 'dazzle' in the Single Origin Espresso category. Another three blends received bronze in the same field, while two bronzes were awarded in Pour Over Filter, and another bronze each was taken out in Latte and Espresso.
"To come away from the competition with eight medals is a major achievement and a recognition that after 25 years The Coffee Bean Roasting House is still at the forefront of market trends and the production of high-quality coffee," Mr Sykes said.
