IT may be warm today, but it's set to get even hotter across the weekend.
The mercury is predicted to rise to as high as 36 degrees in one location, with most towns in the region to see temperatures of at least 30 degrees.
The hot weekend follows two consecutive days of total fire bans for the Central Ranges, with firefighters on high alert due to conditions and the ongoing drought.
While Saturday will be warm, Sunday is expected to be the hottest day.
