Mr Jeffrey is currently studying at the University of Sydney. He was one of the participants chosen to travel to Beijing through the 2019 Seeds for the Future program.
The Seeds for the Future program is funded by Huawei and the Australian government. It aims to cultivate talent in the STEM sector, as well as fostering better relations and a greater understanding of China within emerging technology leaders.

As well as learning about the language and culture, the trip also includes a visit to Huawei's $140 billion global technology business to meet the senior executives.
Mr Jeffrey, who is currently on the three week trip, said it had been "absolutely amazing" so far.
"We are here to work and learn but also have fun and we have certainly done that so far," he said.
"We have visited the Great Wall of China - this has to be one of the most incredible things I have ever seen - although it was certainly a bit on the chilly side.
"In terms of work we have already started our lessons at the Beijing Language and Cultural University and are learning basic Mandarin and about Chinese culture."
It's the university student's first visit to China and he said it had been an eye-opening experience to both the similarities and difference the country has with the western world.
"The trip has come at a perfect time for me as I am still uncertain about my career path so being able to go to China and really throw myself out of my comfort zone is a great way to figure things out," Mr Jeffrey said.
"I am finishing my degree this year so learning culture and language in Beijing and then heading down to Shenzhen to see Huawei headquarters and how the company operates will be an amazing experience. I am sure I will return to Australia the better for it."
Mr Jeffrey said technology was something he had loved since high school.
The Seeds for the Future program has given nearly 150 students across six years the chance to study in China.
Mr Jeffrey encouraged other university students to get involved with the program if they had the chance.
"This is an amazing opportunity that any technology student in Australia should grab with both hands," he said.
