The CYMS Cougars and Macquarie Cricket Club continue to look like the two sides to beat this season, with both continuing the charge after downing Rugby Cricket Club and the South Dubbo Hornets respectively.

Macquarie and Souths battled to the finish in a high scoring game, with Souths' Angus Norton (47) and captain Adam Wells (44) both doing their utmost, but being chased down promptly by a Macquarie side fuelled by veteran Ben Strachan (45) and Ricky Medway (47).
Macquarie finished their innings five runs ahead at 189/4, while South lingered on 184/9.

For Ben Knaggs' young CYMS side, the result was more firm, with Rugby going all out while posting up a total of 176 in their innings and despite putting up a strong opening batting effort with Roland O'Connor (44), Jacob Hill (24) and Kody Sissian (26), Rugby weren't able to hold onto their wickets, with Jakke Gardiner (22), the only other batsman to post a total over 20 before being dismissed.
CYMS started slower, but finished stronger, with Lachlan Strachan (26), Tom Barber (38) and Ben Williams (57) putting together a concentrated effort in the middle of the batting order and sending plenty of balls to to the boundary before being dismissed.
Captain Ben Knaggs' took over proceedings from there, wrapping up CYMS win with a controlled 26 and staying in to the end to put CYMS ahead on 177/7.
CYMS will next face the Hornets in round seven, while Macquarie will have the chance to avenge a round two loss to the Tigers.
