A former Dubbo resident who refused to undergo a breath test and drove a Nissan Narvara into a security guard has been spared time behind bars. Wellington man James Mitchell Pomfret was fined $450 and disqualified from driving for six months when he appeared before Dubbo Local Court magistrate Theresa Hamilton on Wednesday. Pomfret pleaded guilty to negligent driving and refusing a breath test. He was convicted of both offences. In court, Pomfret's legal representative said her client was hardworking and well regarded in the community.
