It is rare to find both Newtown Tigers and RSL-Colts outside the finals in the McDonald's Megahit but that's where both sides stand heading into Friday's crucial round three fixture.

RSL-Colts and Newtown met last season in the Twenty20 grand final but head into Friday's game in fourth and sixth respectively and in need of a kick-start to their campaigns.
Both sides have undergone plenty of change, with the likes of Tom Atlee and Ben Patterson leaving in the off-season to chase Sydney ambitions, but despite that and the lack of the wins Friday's game shapes as an entertaining one.
Newtown veteran all-rounder Steve Skinner felt his Tigers' build-up has let them down so far.
"We've had a lot of blokes in and out, so it will be nice to get some stability," he said.
"We also have fielded poorly, I think we dropped six or seven catches against CYMS and you can't do that against the top sides because they will make you pay."
Skinner also felt that the Tigers have arguably played the best two sides so far.

The loss to CYMS followed on from a round one loss to Macquarie and in both those games the Tigers failed to score more than 105.
Against an RSL-Colts side mixed with youth and experience, Skinner knows building partnerships is the key.
"We can't afford to lose too many early wickets," he said.
"If we lose one we just need to rebuild but at the moment we are losing wickets in clumps."
Skinner admitted the team will rely on he, his brother Mat, and top-order player Doug Potter but added fellow batsmen Mitch Russo isn't far away from a big score.
"He (Russo) has looked really good all year," he said.
"He has got a lot of starts but it will be nice to see him get going and be there in the final overs to get us to a good score."
The wedding of Newtown quick Trent Smith this weekend might also be an advantage for the Tigers.
There is a possibility a few former higher grade Sydney players could line up in the match as they are in town for the wedding.
Sydney Thunder Indigenous representative Potter is expected to play after playing against the Hobart Hurricanes Indigenous side in Orange this week.
Play starts 6.30pm.
