The Tap It for Lifeline program has seen two new 'tap and go' EFTPOS machines installed at the RSL Club inviting patrons to donate $2 to Lifeline Central West.
Lifeline Central West executive director Alex Ferguson said the program is a modern approach to the classic 'gold coin donation' initiative.
"This is our response to a growing cashless society," Mr Ferguson said.
"Lifeline Central West has to raise a significant amount of money each year in order to carry out vital, volunteer-run services, which is why it's important for us to get with the modern economic landscape."

Mr Ferguson said the program will streamline Lifeline's fundraising initiatives as well as their ability to deliver telephone crisis support and counselling for people in need across regional NSW.
"Cashless fundraising lessens the risk of monies going unchecked, as we are able to monitor donations in real-time," he said.
"Lifeline Central West caters for around 130 volunteers, and these initiatives are essential to ensure we have the resources to support their roles."
RSL Club president Ian Miller said it's important for ClubsNSW-associated establishments to back organisations who reach out to vulnerable members of society.
"The entire club industry is a supporter of Lifeline and because of the business we're in, it's paramount for us to aid those in the community who are struggling," Mr Miller said.
"Our club's slogan is 'the heart of our community' and while it's easy to say those words, you have to put them into action."
Mr Miller said the club is open to introducing more tap and go donation machines should the program prove successful.
"They didn't cost us much to install, and we are happy to help out Lifeline in any way we can," he said.
"Our partnership with Lifeline allows us to help support individuals and families impacted by issues such as depression, anxiety, domestic violence and suicide."
Lifeline's tap and go donation machines are located at the club's bistro bar.
