Dubbo defeated Wellington in the second round of the Western Zone Plate at No 1 Oval on Sunday.

Batting first after winning the toss, Wellington got off to a steady start with Cameron Herd and Mitchell Preston putting on a 51-run opening stand before Yogi Chawla removed Herd for 12.
Preston (49) along with Nick Cosier (41) provided the bulk of the runs as regular wickets fell following both batsmen being removed.
Chawla (3/21) and Tom Barber (4/37) were the best of the Dubbo bowlers while opening bowler Ben O'Donnell was economical, bowling 10 overs straight and finishing with 1/28 while brother Dale and captain Heath Larance also took a wicket each.
After a lower order collapse Wellington made 190.
Dubbo's run chase started off poorly with Wellington opening bowler Tom Mitchell removing Larance for 11.
Connor Watts (35) and Jake Settree (28) blasted a 53-run partnership to rebuild the innings and increase the scoring before Watts was removed by Preston.
Settree and Ram Haridharan were removed in quick succession but Ben O'Donnell partnered with Mitch Lincoln (31) and put together a partnership before the latter fell with 10 runs to win.
O'Donnell led his side to five-wicket win, belting 11 fours and a six on the way to making 62 not out.
Nick Redfern was the pick of the Wellington bowlers taking 2/29 with Mitchell, Preston and Matthew Ripps chipped in with a wicket each but ultimately, Dubbo chased down the total with 14 overs remaining.
Dubbo meets Cobar in the semi-finals following a win over Narromine while the other game sees Bathurst play Blue Mountains for a spot in the final.
Bathurst advanced after downing Forbes in an entertaining match on Sunday, one which was won with six balls to spare.
Western Zone Plate is second tier representative competition comprising of teams across the region including Dubbo, Cobar, Bathurst, Nyngan, Wellington, Narromine, Lithgow, Forbes and Blue Mountains.
Dubbo and Wellington will meet again in February in the Macquarie Valley Brewery Shield competition.
