The Dubbo teenager heads to Newcastle this weekend having scored his first win in the series last round at Sandown.
The win in the first race at Sandown was Everingham's first since making the move to the Super2 Series this year.
Competing in what is the level below Supercars, Everingham has more reason to impress heading into next year following an announcement from the sport's CEO this week.
Supercars' supremo Shane Howard announced the 2020 Series 2 champion will receive a $400,000 scholarship to boost their dreams of racing in the elite class.
"The new financial incentives will provide considerable benefits for drivers looking to build on their success in DS2 to graduate to a full-time career in Supercars," Howard said.
"This is a logical decision to streamline the pathway, leverage off existing logistics arrangements and reduce overall costs for competitors in our key support categories."
Supercars also announced a rookie class within the division for under-25 drivers in their first year in the competition, the rookie driver with the most points will receive $100,000.
Unfortunately for Everingham, he won't be a rookie next year.
His rookie campaign is this one, and he caught the eye at Sandown when he won a rain-affected and dram-filled race.

Sitting in second on lap 10, Everingham overtook Kurt Kostecki for the lead before losing the position three laps later, only for Kostecki to run off track losing several places.
Kostecki was one of a number to end up off the track in the difficult conditions.
But Everingham handled things the best, and went on to win a race that was shortened to 17 laps.
"That's absolutely amazing," Everingham said after the victory.
"That's honestly the most fun I've ever had in a race car.
"The car felt awesome, we just hooked up the whole race. We made the good decision to go with the wets off the start."
Everingham's best result prior to Sandown was a fifth-placed finish at Bathurst last month.
He had to settle for a ninth-placed finish in the second event at Sandown.
He heads into this weekend's final round of racing at Newcastle sitting fifth in the over championship standings.
Bryce Fullwood sealed the overall championship crown when winning the second event at Sandown.
He has been tipped to get a chance in the Supercars next year.
The 21-year-old is competing in his fifth year of the Super2 Series and has been linked with a move to the Walkinshaw Andretti United team as a potential 2020 teammate to Chaz Mostert.
